Let’s talk about skincare.
Caring for our skin isn’t just about appearance; it’s essential to our overall health. Our skin is our largest organ and a barrier to protect us from germs, bacteria, and toxins, so it’s worth spending time and energy caring for it. I believe in investing in my skin by using quality products and having a consistent routine. This is a great article that sheds more light on the question: Do you really need a skincare routine?
I began taking skincare seriously in my early 40s (I wish I had started sooner!), and now that I'm in my late 50s, I have a well-established routine. My skincare health is more than just the products I use. It’s also about protection (wearing hats and sunscreen), staying hydrated, eating well, getting enough sleep, reducing stress, and knowing which products are best for my skin.
My favorite skincare products have been tried and tested for over a decade. These are products I love and consistently purchase. Of course, I don’t use all these simultaneously or continuously have all of them on hand, but I switch back and forth depending on my budget, availability, and sales. I don’t stick with just one brand, but I use a medley depending on the climate, how my skin feels, and how my overall health is. A post on my exact skincare routines (basic & advanced) and how I use these products will come soon!

Thanks, Jenni ❤️ I tried to include a variety of price points, so thank you for noticing ☺️ It’s time for me to pull out the tanning drops. Thanks for the reminder! I still need to go have a look at those balms.
Thank you for this! Your skin looks fantastic so you’re doing something right!! I love May Lindstrom, Oak Essentials and Mad Hippie products. My skin is dry, so exfoliating and moisturizing is important to me. Though I need to confess… I’m not great at washing my face properly at night! I might try the cleansers and toners you suggested 🤗xx
