Hi there, and welcome! This monthly newsletter contains things I want to recommend, interesting articles, recipes, and fun finds. Settle in for a bit, and let’s get caught up.
August Chit Chat
September is here, and it’s time to reflect on all that happened in August. Well, last month was a doozy. It had some high highs and low lows. Some happy things were:
My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. Marrying him was the best thing I’ve ever done. ❤️
We celebrated my daughter-in-law’s birthday and mine. 🎉
I watched some absolutely stunning sunsets from my front yard.
Coveys of quail were spotted outside my sliding glass door and around my property. The chicks are so tiny and adorable.
I booked a flight for my husband and me to visit our daughter and son-in-law. ✈️
Two heartbreaking things were the death of my darling dog, Lily, and a traumatic event affecting several family members. You never know what a day will bring. Hug your loved ones close.
Everyday Loves
Sponges
Are you familiar with the Scrub Daddy? I bought a big pack of them at Costco and think they’re amazing.
Bread
Cook’s gluten-free sourdough bread is probably the best GF bread I’ve tried, and tastes delicious toasted.
Classical Music
Sometimes, I am in the mood for classical violin music, and this playlist is beautiful.

From the Kitchen
Cookies for breakfast? Yes, please. I love whipping up a batch of these.
Last week, I was feeling under the weather, so I decided to make Alison Roman’s famous chickpea stew. It’s incredibly aromatic, flavorful, and easy to throw together.
How was the month of August for you? Did anything noteworthy happen? Leave a comment and let me know. ☺️
