May Chit Chat 👩🎓
First of all, I want to say hello and offer a warm welcome to all the new subscribers! I’m so glad you’re here! Each month, I write Natalie’s Notebook as a recap of the highlights from the previous month, plus I share things I loved, articles you may find interesting, and recipes I made. These newsletters remind me of the importance of reflection and the practice of paying attention to what brings me joy. I hope they inspire you to do the same. 🥰
Here are a handful of highlights from May:
A fantastic, weeklong trip to Vail with my husband, daughter, and son-in-law
Opportunities to catch up with friends I haven’t seen in ages
My youngest’s college graduation- woohoo!
A mini vacation to Lake Tahoe to celebrate the graduate

Everyday Loves
I received a walking pad for Mother’s Day, and I love it! I hop on there to warm up before working out or use it while listening to an audiobook.
While looking at some Memorial Day sales, I picked up this extremely comfortable dress and this sweater jacket.
With warmer weather comes insects, and this indoor bug trap is a must-have. It’s shocking how well it works (and also gross!)
I loved my two great hikes this month: Hanging Lake and Van Sickle Trailhead.

From the Kitchen
I quickly whipped this easy meatless dish up one night when I realized I hadn’t planned anything for dinner. We ate it with an arugula salad and didn’t put it on toast.
These tasty Chicken Fajita Foil Packets are great on the grill or baked in the oven.
This Herbaceous Mediterranean Chickpea Salad is a yummy summer side dish.
What brought you joy last month? I would love to know. I hope your June is an amazing one!
