Natalie's Notebook- October Recap
Giant cookies, a great memoir, & questions that lead to love
This monthly newsletter is not just about recommendations, interesting articles, recipes, and fun finds. It's about sharing a part of my life with you. You can find the recaps for the previous two months here: August and September. So, pour yourself a warm drink, find somewhere comfortable to sit, and let’s get caught up. ☺️
October Chit Chat 🍂
October was packed full of activities, so I’m ready for a slow next few weeks before the busyness of the holiday season arrives. It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving is three and a half weeks away, and Christmas is only seven weeks away! How is that possible?!? I’m enjoying the cooler nights, mornings, and sweater weather we’re finally experiencing. As I pause to reflect on what October held, I’m grateful for my family, friends, and the health to enjoy it all.
Here are my October highlights:
Getting together with friends for a glass of wine, brunch, lunch dates, and dinner
Spending a long weekend away with Tony in SoCal, soaking up the warm sunshine, having dinner at our favorite restaurant in the area, and relaxing
Going to Disneyland
Attending several Black-Tie events with Tony (except we didn’t take a single photo!)
Admiring the gorgeous October skies

Everyday Loves
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Ina Garten’s memoir, Be Ready When the Luck Happens.
I use this lip sleeping mask nightly to avoid chapped lips and notice a difference if I don’t put it on.
I finally found some no-show socks that don’t slip down!
My husband bought me a beautiful leather coat for my birthday, and I’m finally getting to wear it.

Tony & I asked each other these questions while we were on our long weekend away, and it sparked such a great conversation: The 36 Questions That Lead to Love.
Since it’s sweater season, you may find this helpful: How to Remove Pilling from Clothes.
Now that it’s getting colder, you may have put a duvet on your bed. Tony & I just ordered a new duvet cover, and I despised putting it on until I read this: How to Put on a Duvet Cover.
From the Kitchen
Here are four delicious recipes I made last month:
“Sometimes, if you're lucky, the person sitting next to you at a dinner party turns out to be really interesting, and you have a lively conversation that makes you think, I want to know more.” Ina Garten
I hope your November is lovely. 🦃
With love, Natalie xx
