Love this, Natalie - and such a good prompt when making decisions, too, big or small – that whole “a yes to this would mean a no to that” idea. Knowing the things that we never regret doing, the things we make time for and the people most importantly, obviously, really helps with that framing in the moment. Especially since we can’t do all the things, and be in all the places, all at once. For me, I never regret time spent with my Bible, daily scripture reading, meditation, or prayer, even when I think I don’t have time for it (more so then, even). And, like you, I never regret movement, and even the still kind, such as floor work and realignment through stretching/pilates - and strength training. I could go on! Great reminder to remind ourselves, so to speak, of what we never regret. 💖
What a great list! I can tell you this, as your friend I definitely feel important to you. Watching you with Tony and the rest of your family is always a great reminder to be present and participatory with mine.
What I will never regret:
Being vulnerable with family and friends. Laughter even when it's maybe a little inappropriate. Hosting dinner parties. Reading and watching whatever I want. Living authentically. Being kind to someone who I don't know. Saying hello and leading with my heart, more than my head. Travel. And finally, having pets. Thanks for sharing and reminding us all to be grateful because we have so much to be grateful for.
Hi Natalie, what a beautiful list! I agree with you but I need to get better about meal prep (and meal variety!). I'd say I will never regret adopting my cats -- even when they are doing their wildest morning meowing or throwing jigsaw puzzle pieces to the floor, they bring us so much joy! 😻
I know, and that’s what everyone says when I start talking about a little kitten prancing around at Christmas – our 16-year-old boy is so fragile and it would not be fair! 🐈⬛ 🥰
Hi Liz! Your cats are soooo cute! I'm with you about no regrets in adopting pets. We love our cats and dog so much and can't imagine life without them.
Hi Natalie! This is a great read and a challenging list for me. Some of the things I am totally with you on, saying “I love you” to the ones I hold dear. Making space for friends. And definitely, cleaning the house before leaving on a trip. Between you and me, Im neurotic, I have to clean the kitchen every night before bed as I hate waking up to make coffee and walking into a dirty kitchen! I confess… I am not consistent with taking care of my skin or exercising. Those are definite areas that need improving!! So enjoyed reading this today - thank you!! Keep writing xx
You clean a kitchen like no one else!!! We like to clean our kitchen nightly as well, though every once in a while, we don't tidy up til the following morning.

You’re right, Jen. It is about the right yeses and no’s for ourselves. I never regret prayer and scripture reading, either ✝️
That's the best list!
Thank you, Loretta! 🩷

Thank you, Joy. That's very sweet! I agree with all your items, especially the one about having pets. ❤️

Here to say yes, yes, yes to adopting the cats! 😻💕
Yes!! I’d love another but don’t want to upset our delicate ecosystem! 😻💕
PS: plus, he already has one very rambunctious toddler tabby on his case! 😹

Aw, thank you! I completely agree with you, I can’t imagine life without them. They add so much joy!
