Natalie's Notebook- July Recap
A cute skort, three delicious recipes, and how to show extra love to a friend
This monthly newsletter is not just about recommendations, interesting articles, recipes, and fun finds. It's about sharing a part of my life with you. You can find the recaps for the previous two months here: May and June. So, pour a cold drink, get comfortable, and let’s get caught up. ☺️
July Chit Chat 🎇
Happy August! I’m currently in WA visiting my daughters, my son-in-law, and their dogs, and enjoying the beautiful PNW. It’s always a treat to be here.
If you’re new to Everyday Natalie (Hi and Welcome!!! 🌸), you’ll begin to notice that at the beginning of every month, I reflect back on the previous one and take note of the big and little things. This practice causes me to pause and remember the highlights before moving into the new month. Life can pass by so quickly, so I find it important to stop and remember.
Here are my July highlights:
July began on a very sad note; we said goodbye to our sweet dog, Daisy. She was part of our family for 16 years, and we miss her so much. Our other precious dog, Lily, died last August, and after 18 years of having family dogs, it feels strange not having one greet us at the door when we come home.
I saw A Quiet Place: Day One with a friend and thought it was good, but didn’t love it as much as the first one.
Tony and I went kayaking with friends on a nearby lake, and the early morning water was like glass. We can’t wait to go again.
We’ve been cleaning out closets and drawers and donated so many bag of clothes! It feels so good to pare down.
Summer dinners on our patio have been a highlight whether it’s just the two of us or we’ve invited friends over. I love when our evenings stay warm enough to be outdoors.

Everyday Loves
I’ve been searching for a laundry booster to whiten my whites without bleach and found this one works so well: Dirty Labs.
I love this skort (on sale now!) for summer activities or running errands because it’s comfortable yet flattering, has pockets, and isn’t too short.
My son and daughter-in-law bought me this Sport Sling as a gift, and I’m using it extensively. I love being hand-free when I’m on a walk, traveling, or shopping.
I use this lumbar support cushion almost daily, whether sitting on the sofa or in my desk chair. It offers excellent support! My husband uses this one and likes it almost as well as mine.

Hi Natalie, I'm so sorry about Daisy's passing. I'm sure you must miss her.
I'm excited to try this blueberry crisp and I definitely need some lumbar support!
Hope you and Tony have a great weekend! xx
I LOVE this!! Your essays were thoughtful, I especially liked the “35 ways to show a friend you love her”, the TJ hacks were priceless and I love Blueberry Crisp!! I’m so very sorry to hear about Daisy… pets become so much a part of our home and family it’s awful when we have to say goodbye. I hope your heart is starting to heal. Have fun with your kids!! My big deal was going for a massage today - first time in a VERY long time, it was wonderful!! Xx
